Suji ki Kheer -My way

I love making sweet desserts which have milk as the primary ingredient.Suji ki kheer is one such dish which I prepare for my children often and it can be prepared with lesser ingredients and also very light to digest.This dish is also prepared during the Hindu festival and served as prasad.The whole procedure takes around 15-20 minutes.It is good for body and mind.Such dish can be customized and you can add more dry fruits or increase milk or suji content as per your need.

Ingredients

Milk – 1 liter

Suji – 3/4 cups

Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

Sugarfree Natura – 60 gms

Saffron – 12 or more strands

Few pieces Almonds crushed

Few pieces Pistachios crushed

Ghee – 2 Tsp

Method

  1. Take a deep and thick bottom pan and pour ghee in it.Heat it after that.
  2. Now add sooji and mix it well till it gets roasted.
  3. Now take another pan and boil milk in it at low flame.
  4. Add sooji to it and stir it continuously so that no lumps are formed
  5. Cook this mixture for 10 minutes and now add sweetener sugarfree Natura according to your taste for sweet.Add cardamom powder in the mixture now.
  6. Mix it well and then add almonds and few pieces of pistachios and saffron for garnishing.
  7. Serve the dish hot.
